Boeing has announced that the 787 surge line in the 40-24 will be closed later this year. Back on January 30, 2010 the fatigue test 787 was moved out of the 40-24 (before it was a surge line) to the fatigue test rig at the 40-41 building. In days of olde Dreamliners sported a protective wrapper when they were moved outside.
